Photographer's Note

Many centuries ago the Uros tribe, saving itself from Incas expansion, migrated to lake Titikaka. As Incas were bed sailors and didn't have any big boats, Uros could feel secure. The invented the technology of reed floating islands creation and are living on unstable surface until now. Although they have the modern water transport and might left to the city they continue live here in the reed huts (howevere some of them have satellite TV inside), raise poultry, take fish and trade national souvenirs for tourists. They use the same boats as it was 500 years ago - with stem topped by cougar head. The shot was taken on one of floating island at altitude about 4000 meters above sea level, where sky is deep-blue, almost black. Hope you enjoy that.
