Photographer's Note
This view was shot during an expedition to the Huascaran (6870 m), the highest summit of the White Cordillera, in Peru.
The three climbers were just below the Garganta, at 5900 m, a key point of the ascent, where the glacier has many crevasses and is really dangerous. On the left, the highest point is the summit of one of the two summits of the Huascaran (north and south, almost the same height).

Bonjour Laurent,
Bonne photo de montagne avec ce beau sommet au fond, on sent que la nature peut être cruelle avec ceux qui essayent de la dompter.
Good photograph of mountain with this beautiful top at the bottom, one feels that nature can be cruel to those which try to overcome it.

the b& w makes it surreal. I like that climber trilogy, it's an asset to your composition. Nice work

Looking through your gallery, I realise you have a great fascination for mountains. I enjoyed your all your posts a lot. I chose this one to comment on because the monochromatic skies together with the tiny human figures in front of the imposing mass of snow make for a dramatic composition here. I can only imagine how it must be climbing at those heights. Great post Laurent.
