Photographer's Note

Well, our dear friend Malgo has been on my case lately to post a photo or two from Cusco Peru :)

Malgo, the next few photo's are just for you! haha

Going through my gallery, I was surprised to see how little photos I have from Cusco. It must have been the altitude sickness that I experienced. Luckily for me I didn't experience it during the 5 day hike as my body adapted quickly, but i DID experience it when we arrived to Cusco 2 days before the hike.

Thats the plan....when you do this 5 day hike at high altitudes, you're suppose to arrive in Cusco 2 or 3 days before - that way you can give your body time to adjust.

Well, it was in those 2 days in Cusco where I got sick. Tosca got sick during the hike itself.
In Cusco I was extremely dizzy, nauseous, short of breath, my heart pounding and pounding with every step i took, especially when climbing stairs.

So I think thats why I have so few photos from Cusco, I wasn't feeling well at all. Sorry Malgo, but i'll post what i can find.

Looking back on our trip, its too bad we couldn't spend MORE time in Cusco because its such a photogenic city.

Here we have a basic street view. I waited and waited for a local to arrive into the scene but nobody came. Perhaps because it was early in the morning still.

Hope you like this HDR
