Photographer's Note

I haven't posted photos of Peru in a very long time, so here is one!

Taken on the island of Taquile, about 35 km from Puno where we took our boat.
The lake was very calm early in the morning, but after an hour, it changed completely, big waves appeared and the boat started shaking dangerously ( and I began being sick ).

Fortunately we reached this island, and at this altitude ( 3812m above sea level), it was pretty hard to climb this stiff slope to the top ;)

The island possesses 5.72 km² of fertile lands on which inhabit some 300 Quechua families that live keeping their ancestral customs. The men are devoted to the agriculture and the fishing, and the women to the weaving.
