Photographer's Note
This series of portals can be found in the heart of Machu Picchu. This was originally a color digi shot, however I pulled out each of the rgb channels as seperate layers and adjusted the opacity of each to get the exact grey scaling that I want. I then flattened and copied that grey scale image to a seperate rgb file as a base layer. I then changed the format from greyscale to a tritone duotone. I then coppied that image and pasted it on top of the grey layer at 65% opacticty. I then flattened the layers and mad some slight level and contrast adjustments. This is the result. Let me know what you think.
p.s. I have posted the color file for reference as a WS.

Great concept and implementation, Hubert! The color tone is indeed very pleasing as it looks like taken from a Dungeon Master arcade game (if you are familiar with). Very crisp and detailed!
Well done!

Nice DOF and again, excellent presentation of Inca architecture. Good conversion to B%W.
Best regards,

Hey Grav,
Excellent B&W work, and equally fitting framing.
when i was there, MP was always filled with people, and i was just waiting for each tourist to get done with their images... and especially when one has just completed the Inca Trail, they sure arent in any shape to be patient ;)
good work on the note... keep it up!

simple is the best, there is no contradiction between gray colours for this reason it is well smooth, best wishes,
David
