Photographer's Note

This is a view from the El Misti ( 5822 m). The mountain is Chachani (6075 m).

An Indian legend say that Chachani was the wife of El Misty. Once the argue so mad that the gods was forced to separe them from each other. They turned them to mountains and placed them next to each other. They put a canyon just between them to be sure that no other conflict will ever exist between them. Since then they live in peace.

Only once the argue again when both of them ( volcanos) was yelling to each other by spitting ashes and lava and the same time but it was long time ago.

So, if you go to Arequipa one day, say hello to the couple that rule this horizon and look how beatiful they are.
