Escena tipica de una peluquería en uno de los pueblos de la costa. esta toma fue hecha en San Lorenzo, provincia de Esmeraldas.
En Este pueblo existe un pequeño mercado de peluquerias en la calle y cada una está decorada con recortes de revistas sobre figuras publicas o artistas. Esos recortes Sirven para escojer el estilo del corte de pelo

Hi Diego,
All the photos of those men with their various hairstyles looking at us from their collage on the wall makes for a great and interesting background. I like the intense expressions of concentration of both guys focusing on their tasks. Black and white was the perfect choice here too. A great shot well composed.

Hello Diego,
very nice shot of daily life. You caught them in a very natural attitude with many details and that background with all the pics behind is very interesting and gives punch. Good composition and light. I have taken the liberto to do a little workshop, just to add some light to the barber's face. I hope you don't mind.

On the poster down on the wall ..near the eye of the customer.......I can wait till tommorow.
Two small boys above this poster......Hey be prepared, a fight may take place.
and the customer........I am in no hurry to leave the place.

It is very amusing to look at the background photos on the wall. Very fine daily life shot with lots of interesting details.

Hola Diego!

Me gusta mucho esta fotografía, porque representa lo que realmente sucede y eso no es nada fácil aunque parezca sencillo. Cada uno de los 2 individuos tanto por separado como individualmente forman una escena y eso es difícil de conseguir. Viendo tu galeria, he notado que te gusta mucho el B&W, para esta foto le queda perfecto, pero creo que para alguna de tu galeria le irían mejor los colores naturales, es sólo una opinión.
Lo dicho una gran fotografía que me ha gustado mucho! Feliz Navidad desde Madrid!

Me gusta mucho. That is, the scene and the setting (with all those posters on the wall). I agree with Merline, and I think she brought up needed light on that very black face.

A wonderful composition and so full of contextual richness - the line of focus diagonally from the barber to the head and the man having his hair cut to the paper is wonderful - the wall behind paying homage to black artists and styles is just marvelous!
