Photographer's Note

The landscape in huge Patagonia is so often arid and dull.

However, here and there Mother Nature has prepared spectacular surprises for us.

During the spring the area called Torres del Paine is patched and crossed by lakes and rivers in a variety of incredible blue colors: light blue, dark blue, turquoise, cyan, and blues yet to be classified.

This is one of them.

It was a cloudy, windy, nasty day but who would care about having a blue sky?

The area is located in the deep south, in the Chilean side of Patagonia.
