San Pedro de Atacama

Tiny San Pedro de Atacama (elevation 2440 m) is a foothills oasis village. It’s in the heart of some of northern Chile's most spectacular scenery, like salt flat, lagoon with flamingos, Moon Valley, geysers, always at the back the imposing Andean mountains

San Pedro it's little more than a handful of picturesque adobe streets very well preserved
Each house must be keep in perfect conditions, the walls must be made of rocks at the basement and then of bricks and adobe to keep ambiance safe for tourist reasons, each year repairs must be done in order to show quite a tide and clean architecture
Taxes are high, so most of the workers live next to San Pedro in ugly modern cement houses

I was walking in a sunny morning when I saw some workers doing repairs, near them quite interested in the pushcart was the little girl, waiting for her father to go to school
