Photographer's Note

La Mano del Deserto (Please forgive my shocking spanish) a.k.a Hand of the Desert. Located in the desert of Northern Chile (Atacama desert, which incidently is the driest on earth). Built by a Chilean artist I believe. I originally didn't know his name but thanks to Emer for letting me's Mario Irrarrazaval.

Really is in the middle of nothing but desert which should mean it was very calm and peaceful... I got one shot of this before a tour bus turned up and people crowded around and the moment was lost.

Colours are fairly natural, some saturation. I kept the background quite soft, and (tried to) emphasise the hand. I'm still struggling with appropriate sharpening (in fact all technical stuff), so welcome advice.
