Photographer's Note

Another one of my more typical pictures of Chile.
I've taken this one on our way to the great "Torres del Paine National Park".

We came across a herd of free living Guanakos and had quite some time to take pictures. If I understood our guide correctly, they can be up to 2m high and reach a top speed of up to 80km/h.
They are not very shy, you can get quite near them if you are moving slowly. I managed to approach them to about 10m.

Shown here are 2 Guanakos that seem to look at some of the Torres del Paine horns that just appeared out of the clouds.
But actually they are watching the other herd members, you can see their heads on the lower right side of the picture.

Taken in RAW, increased sharpness, contrast and saturation and converted to JPG.
