Photographer's Note
Patagonia is known for its rain and high winds. Apparently you can count the number of "perfect" days on one hand. We had just such a day. Beyond the shoal you can see several beached icebergs; beyond these is Lago Grey (Grey Lake) and in the distance the Glacier Grey. For this picture I croutched low to capture more of the reflected Cerro Paine Grande. I'm pleased with the depth of field that provides foreground interest by way of the underwater pebbles. Hope you like it.

Looks as if you wre lucky both with the wheater and how well you captured the refelctionin this photo. I like how the watre is almost still with just a few rippels. Ver good catch with nice colours and good framing.

This is an amazing capture, Bruce. I am stunned by the clarity and sharpness. And you are right - the underwater pebbles in the foreground do provide additional interest. It's perfect how they start just below the reflection of the snow-capped summit. Great!

Very clean and need landscape photography. I especially like the little mindtrick here. The pebbles form the only element that is not mirrored (: Good job Bruce!

It looks beautiful, cold and beautiful. Is that a bird by the edge of the lake to the left (the dark object mirrored)?

How do I like it? I like it a lot. The reflection is stunning and the way the pebbles under the water fill in the foreground is great. The clean air means every detail is pin sharp.

This is typically the kind of pic you can divide in two equal parts. All seems to be perfect, it's just breathtaking.

Excellent and creative use of submarine foreground interest Bruce! This is a really nice, smooth shot with great color. I'm sure there were many possibilities for shots that day.

An excellent picture, thank you for sharing it. I like the composition and the clarity of the reflection. I think the photo is made infinitely stronger by your ability to capture the texture under the water so well. It helps draw the eye down from the top of the photo and makes it work in the vertical, as well as in the horizontal. Great job!
