Photographer's Note

This house was owned by the Chilean poet and writer Pablo Neruda, located on the Florida hill, in Valparaiso.
The poet called this house La Sebastiana in honor of Sebastian Collado, its constructor and first owner.
The house was sold to Neruda in 1959, and after his death, in 1973, the house was abandoned until 1991 when it was restored and converted into a museum.
Pablo Neruda won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971.
