Photographer's Note

This photo was took in the first day of 2020, Ivaí river was in a high level after some days of rain. This is the largest river of State of Paraná not shared with other states, one of the last big southern Brazilian rivers with no dams. There is a project trying to preserve it this way.
As you can see everything was green, it was summer. Pay attention, in foreground you can se the white horse in Borrazópolis, after the river is Lidianópolis territory and the forest ahead is Borrazópolis again because Ivaí river created a big meander in this point.
In that place with trees, not a forest in fact, there was a big and almost abandoned ranch whose owner was a Danish, curiously his farm had the shapes of his country, a peninsula surrounded by waters and islands where he raised cows and Asiatic bulls. When he died the area became half explored and the areas in pasture became forest again, while the rented flat areas were used as plantations. I heard nowadays the new owner is trying to create a center of studies of nature in this ranch, because most of the area is covered with native trees with a forest being rebuilt by itself.
