Photographer's Note

another photo of an azorian-style church in Ribeirão da Ilha, near Florianópolis. Like the past one, this was taken with B&W film, and I forgot to change the scanner to grayscale and it took a reddish tint.

I do think this photo would be better with color, but I didn't have this option on that day. Also, it was noon with very agressive sunlight, and my lack of experience with this particular camera resulted in that big bright spot on the left. The horizon is also tilted, but when I untilt it, the church looks tilted, and I just couldn't get it right. I supposed I could make a few masks and adjust separate parts, but that sounded like too much work for a simple non-pretentious shot.

Despite these flaws I liked this photo, because it's a different angle than people are used to seeing, and also because I had a good ammount of trouble getting to the place where the photo was taken.
