Photographer's Note

Yesterday my work in the brazilian NGO Clube da Cidadania/Citizenship´s Club took me to the very outskirts of São Paulo once again, and in our way back home, while waiting for the ferry, we saw those insects flying around a lamp post at Bororé Island, deepest south of São Paulo.

Tecnically speaking, Bororé Island is not a city, just a district of São Paulo, the capital, but i decided to add it as a city because of its geographical location.

Bororé is a piece of land in the Billings reservoir - which, together with Guarapiranga reservoir - supplies São Paulo with water. The city is not aware of the turistic potential of the region. Neither the authorities.

Can you imagine something like this in every single lamp post in the streets?

Have a nice sunday and week and thanks for stopping by.
