Photographer's Note

the relationship between humans and domesticated animals in the big cities in developing countries is splitted: those who can afford will buy a dog or a cat with a pedigree and treat them like their kids... in the suburbs, it´s not unusual to find an abandoned dog - of course, without a royal pedigree - at your front door, and it´s up to you to adopt the animal, but usually it´s the animal who addopts you.
every day hundreds of unlucky dogs (cats seem to be smarter) are captured by people from a department of the major hall and will be kept in prison for one week, to give its owner the opportunity to go there and take it back home. after this period the dog is sent to sacrifice.
it´s a very traumatic experience for a kid to see the truck arriving in the street, full of dogs barking, see the men dressed in blue holding nets and capture the dog that by chance was strolling around...

the little girl went nuts when she saw the little dog to be sold in an animals store at the shopping mall...

pp: desaturated, increased contrast, resized, added frame. minimalistic pp phase :))

this one is my humble contribution to homerhomer´s theme about dogs in pictures. btw, hh is one of my 50+. hope you like it. comments welcome.
