CIDADE DE AMPARO - A VELHA ESTAÇÃO DE TREM!
THE CITY OF AMPARO - THE OLD RAILWAY STATION!

Driving around the CAMPINAS metropolitan area, I shortly visited the city of AMPARO!

Here I was walking around its small downtown and took a picture of its old restored railway station!
Trains were left aside in Brazil! Trains that were so helpful in the past! Most cities have their railway station and most of them are not used for what they were built for! Many, unfortunately are almost totally abandoned and destroyed! In Amparo, it's a small cultural center! Hopefully trains will be back one day!

Hi Ney,

I find it sad the in many places the trains are not going any more. The train journey is more interesting (especially for tourists) than by the car. And in other countries it is still very efficient way of the travelling. Very nice old station. great sky.

Hi Neyvan,
The deep blue sky and the deep green palms are some good indredients in this photo, where this building plays the major part. A very peaceful mood here in this pleasant view!

Good contrast between the house and the deep blue sky. The perspective has been well created and the depth due to the diagonal compo. I read your note with interest...do you mean you have very less trains in Brazil now?

muito bom este seu pov mostrando o edifício de canto contra o céu azul. boa luz e cores.pois é, em londrina a estação de trem virou museu e a linha foi removida do centro, em apucarana esão querendo fazer o mesmo. uma pena que deixaram as ferrovia de lado

Estes edifícios que serviam de estação de comboios eram umas belas obras de arquitectura. Tenho muita pena que tanto ai como aqui em Portugal estas belas estações estejam fechadas. São os sinais do tempo...Agora somente restam os fotógrafos para que a sua lembrança perdure. Obrigado amigo.
