Photographer's Note

i was surprised by the elegant aspect of the guy in charge of collecting trash in Tiradentes, his white impecable shirt, the hat, and his nice face... i will be posting a workshop to show him pushing his trash cart. He was working with a team of around 5 other men who were sweeping the streets with brooms made of natural branches and leaves, leaving the main square proper for the Harley Davidson motorbikers annual meeting, which was taking place in this pitoresque small town last weekend.
the shot had a tilted aspect because all streets are on slopes, and windows and doors are not always perpendicular to the floor, so i rotated the image a bit, and then applied Luko´s recipe, instead of auto contrast which gives a much darker aspect, and his face was already dark, so the auto-result was a bit too much.
Luko´s recipe is detailed under the tips forum, i saved it as an action and it goes like this:
(QUOTE)"I have my own sharpen script that I run through Pshop regardless of the pic quality, it has always improved the image :
- USM : effect 18, radius 40, threshold 0
- USM : effect 150 radius 0.3, threshold 0
- edit/fade USM, 100%, darken blend mode,
- USM : effect 150 radius 0.3, threshold 0
- edit/fade USM, 50%, brighten blend mode.
Save it at once and run it every time you want!"
Thanks Luko!!
