Photographer's Note

Our trip started in Belo Horizonte de capital of Minas Gerais state, were my family lives, to take the route to Tiradentes. I and my cosin left early in the mornig in order to arrive there before 10am. It takes about 3 hours by car to arrive in Tiradentes from BH. The route is pleaseant as it passes by some little towns, such as Lagoa Dourada, were we can by a delicious "rocambole" (sweet pastry filled with sugar milk). We arrived in Sao Joao del Rey where we got a bit lost. There was nothing indicating the exit to Tiradentes. After asking for information we took the Emperors Route, a smal dirty road that links the two cities (aparently there's another road to arrive there). We arrived around 10am and the first monument we saw it was this church. We decided to stop to visit and make a little pose before we go down to the town center.

About the chapel: The Holly Trinity Chapel was built in 1810 to replace the previous one built in 1776. The original project was changed few times trough the years, but kept the typical Baroque style of Minas Gerais. In 1923 it passed to be also a pilgrimage center. It's interior contains an ancient image of the Eternal Father witch is homaged every year by festivities in may and june. The chapel is open for visit every day from 8AM to 5PM and the entrance is R$2.

Sorry about the quality, lots of noise after reducing size for posting. I posted as a workshop the original version. Other workshops welcomed.
Does anybody has an advice for shoting with this light condition? I would like to have the dog and wagon less dark but without blur the church. It was around 12am and the sun was really strong. I used the tree shadow to avoid the sunlight. Aperture and speed adjusted manually. I worked on the PS to enlight a little bit the shadow areas.

Thanks for your advise.
