Photographer's Note

The saffron finch (Sicalis flaveola) is a bird admired for its strong and cracked call, and therefore is often imprisoned in captivity, even though this is considered a federal crime not guaranteed by the Environmental Crimes Law. Thanks to the action of the authorities and the awareness of the population, records of the species have become quite frequent in recent years. This couple had built a nest on the balcony of my room at the Seven Falls Lodge, in Carrancas.
