Series on my Trip to the IGUAÇU/IGUASSU FALLS - City of FOZ DO IGUAÇU (Mouth of the Iguaçu/Iguassu) - State of PARANÁ - The SOUTHERN Region of Brazil - # 023 !

USINA HIDRELÉTRICA DE ITAIPU (II)!
ITAIPU HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT (II)!

By bus, a tour bus, during my visit in that plant, I took this picture from the highest point of it and from there one can see the PARANÁ RIVER, right in the border of BRAZIL and PARAGUAY!

ONE WS:
Same pov, a broader horizontal and rectangular version!

In the border of BRAZIL and PARAGUAY, the ITAIPU HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT is the largest one in BRAZIL!
It's in the PARANÁ RIVER and in order to be built the "SETE QUEDAS"/"SEVEN FALLS" had to be destroyed (today underwater)! I was lucky to visit it back in 1982! It was gigantic, different than the Iguaçu Falls, but with its own immense beauty! There were hundreds of small falls and you have to go across them using old "wooden" bridges, with ropes where you could hold on to! After lots of walking, you would reach the most impressive one, in a horseshoe format, right in front of you! It was awesome! Too sad it had to disappear!

I was also happy to visit this Plant because I was surprised by its gigantic size and organisation (including very well planned and interesting touristic visits)! I was satisfied, for example, with a movie where they showed everything that's done, ecologically and educationally speaking, in the surrounding areas!
