Photographer's Note

The Rua 24 Horas (24 Hours Street) is a mall that was opened by Jaime Lerner, the mayor of Curitiba, in 1991.

It initially opened 24 hours a day, however the mall closed in 2007 and only reopening in 2011 after a redevelopment. On reopening, the hours were limited to 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

We were there on Sunday of April and only a few stores were working in the place. Very different from what I saw in 92. Saddly that a so important place in Curitiba is now not so nice as was in the past. But the place still has its beauty.
