The 3 Dog's Disembarkation, a photo from Parana, South

Photographer's Note

Another picture of dogs, an old one, this time showing 3 of them disembarking from a little boat on the pier. You see that the last one is just getting out of the boat, while the leader is walking in the foreground without seeing too much. What they was going there? I don´t know, maybe you can tell me. The lights are coming from a late afternoon sun, almost sunset time. The place is the Guaratuba Bay.

Hello Jose, what an excellent composition, perfectly timed, to capture the image of these three dogs. Your depth of field on this shot is excellent giving very good sharp detail on the first to last dog, and each of the ridges on the ramp all the way down to the boat. Light and colour in this shot is excellent.

Very funny shot. I wonder which one was the driver :D At this small size the one getting out of the boat looks like he is carrying a bunch of flowers.(Maybe he is late home to his wife :D) As well as being funny it is also a well managed image in lovely light. I particularly like the light on the dog in the foreground. Well observed and well taken

Olha, Zeca, é raro, depois de ver tanta foto, deparar alguma que desperte verdadeira curiosidade e encanto. Se você retirar aquela cadeira perdida ali, pode inscrever a foto em concurso, que ganha. Não é hipérbole não, mas a foto leva o tema e o ambiente até seus limites, dadas as circunstâncias: a coisa mais surreal do mundo (não quero saber se foi planejado ou não...), um conciliábulo marinho de cachorros que rapidamente se desfaz, cada conspirador deixando o cais, um após o outro, perfeitamente alinhados, em marcha constante e solene, de cabeça baixa e pata cadenciada. O cenário absolutamente magnífico: um pôr-do-sol que lança tons de rosa e púrpura pela água e céu, e intercepta, dourado, a fila em diagonal, projetando uma sombra oblíqua sobre o cais, símbolo de quanta malícia vai nos planos da cachorrada... O enquadramento e as silhuetas das montanhas e embarcações estão ótimos, ótima exposição e pp (gosto particularmente do white balance que vc costuma aplicar nessas fotos).
Só o cenário arrancaria suspiros, mas você conseguiu registrar um evento histórico sem tirar a naturalidade dos seus protagonistas. Vai direto para os meus favoritos de momento decisivo. Quando vi a foto, pensei imediatamente em algumas imagens da Nat’l Geo. Mag. que havia visto recentemente: o fotógrafo captura o objeto da reportagem contra cenários que, por si, já poderiam ser o tema, um abuso.

lol, zeca, 3 DOGS in a boat? rather than the famous story about 3 MEN in boat. must be some special brazilian training these unlikely river captains have gotten. nice shot; with warm, gliding light fitting your story.

I do hope TE moderators do not remove this post, as they sometimes (not consistently though) do with other photos of dogs. love how full of purpose they seem as if saying "who needs humans to have an enjoyable boat ride?" :) your low point of view works well to bring the viewer on the dog's eye level, I find it fits very well the story here. perfect timing and great shot, I like it a lot.

que momento altamente precioso. Descrever ou descobrir o que fez estes cachorros sairam de forma sincronizada mataria esta imagem. tenho a impressao que deixar a fantasia aberta sem contar demais deixa maior liberdade para a imagem transpirar o momento capturado e vida. Pois nao vou me aventurar a escrever o que se passa aqui. No entanto nao e somente a composicao canina mas o scenario ao fundo e certamente esta luz dourada dando um toque magico. Grande fotografia com grande potencial de inspiracao!
O unico elemento de critica seria o horizonte com a linha em parabola, mas isto e um detalhe tao insignificante que realmente nao faz o minimo impacto nesta imagem. Estou somente tocando no assunto para outras fotos a vir no futuro em qual isto pode ser um detalhe importante e voce ja ter a atencao para este detalhe.

I wonder why they all walk at the edge of the wooden pier, must be shy. I like it when the sun is on the other side of the subject, It projects a slightly seen graphic image of the shadow. The backdrop of hills from a distant is beautiful too.. Congrats

Os cães são encantadores; apesar dos dois detrás não parecerem muito à vontade (suponho que por causa dos safanões), parecem ser muito desenrascados. O trote gracioso do da frente e o o ar cabisbaixo do do meio são muito engraçados. A luz e cores estão fabulosas e o enquadramento é genial, muito harmonioso, equilibrado e proporcionando imensa profundidade.
