Photographer's Note

Opossums, Didelphis Virginiana, are a very usual animal in whole Brazil, they are nocturne creatures and can eat anything, including eggs, acting as vampires in the neck of birds, eating fruits, spoiled things, snakes, etc. If you want kill them you can put a little of firewater poisoned and it will drink.
This was the first animal from three Americas that was sent to Europe in the hands of Columbus. They are marsupials and queen Isabel became surprised to see the babies inside the belly of the mother opossum.
In this image you can see a baby, I guess his mother was killed and he was trying to survive.
In the image we can see a bromeliad native of my town too.
During the day these animals are very easy to kill and even at night too, when menaced they put out a terrible smell. They are an urban plague invading roofs and killing domestic birds and hens.
They are wild from South USA to South America.
