SAMPLES OF ART DECÓ, a photo from Goias, Center-West

Photographer's Note

I like a lot the colonial architecture of Brazil, but is fact its houses have a repetitive aspect and few variations in style.
In Goiás city we can find many samples of art decó style, some of them are amazing. These houses were build few time before the old capital of State of Goiás be removed from this city to a new one.
In the store you can see some samples of the local art craft.

Gosto muito da arquitetura colonial brasileira, obviamente para alguns as casas podem ter uma aparência repetitiva e com poucas variações de estilo.
Na cidade de Goiás existem várias casas em estilo art decó, algumas são maravilhosas. Essas construções são da época em que a cidade de Goiás estava prestes a perder o título de capital do estado para uma cidade nova, que ainda seria erguida.

When I see these nice small buildings I am reminded of the small towns of Cape Verde, which also has a strong Portuguese influence. The photo is quite simple, but we see what we need to see, and the colours are good.

The diagonal line of the sidewalk is giving dynamism to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the architecture of the buildings. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

hello Jorge, This street reminds me of the streets in all Latin America, just rows of low houses, one close to the other, often with decorative windows. here is the Art Deco version. This pink house looks very pretty.

Wonderful architecture in lovely colours, as we don't see often here where I live. Most buildings tend to be white or grey, like our clothing and even the sky, come to think of it. Maybe that's why I wear my loud shirt now and then?

Una composicion estupenda con estas dos fachadas que me parecen deliciosas tanto por su color, como por los detalles Art Decó las mismas, es raro ver en casas pequeñas unifamiliares este estilo constructivo.
Optima gestion de la iluminacion y nitidez, con una buena perspectiva.
