Photographer's Note

I did a 3-day horseriding tour around Tupiza in Southern Bolivia. Tupiza's biggest claim to fame is that it was where the old movie 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' was filmed.

This little girl was part of the family who lived in the house where I stayed in the evenings. Though the family survived on subsistence farming, had no electricity, running water, clinic nor a school nearby, their generosity and warmth won me over. I especially became fond of the little girl in this picture. (That's the family's donkey btw.)
