Salar de Uyuni is a place by its own...dominated by salt, by a blue/white tones symphony....where the humans are little particles lost in its width....it's almost a planet. the salt planet

Salar de Uyuni (or Salar de Tunupa) is the world's largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is located in the Potosí and Oruro departments in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes, and is elevated 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above the mean sea level. The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. It is covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness with the average altitude variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar. The crust serves as a source of salt and covers a pool of brine, which is exceptionally rich in lithium. It contains 50 to 70% of the world's lithium reserves, which is in the process of being extracted. The large area, clear skies and exceptional surface flatness make the Salar an ideal object for calibrating the altimeters of the Earth observation satellites. The Salar serves as the major transport route across the Bolivian Altiplano and is a major breeding ground for several species of pink flamingos.

Bella foto delle Saline di Uyuni.
La vasta pianura di sale, si completa con queste piccole montagne di sale, coniche, che a sua volta si riflettono nell'acqua.
Hai fatto una buona composizione di bianco ed azzurri, in un'immagine molto estetica.

Davvero una bella immagine, Silvio, arricchita oltretutto dai riflessi delle montagne di sale sull'acqua.
Ottimo il punto di osservazione, dove le montagne di sale creano una bella diagonale dando profondità all'immagine.

Fantastica immagine, caro Jeppo, sembra veramente di essere su un'altro pianeta! Curioso e piacevole l'effetto dei riflessi che danno l'impressione di vedere dei solidi geometrici galleggiare nell'acqua. Un plauso particolare all stupenda sensazione di infinita profondita dello sfondo. Complimenti!

Salar de Uyuni is on the very top of my favorite places to visit. And this photo encourages me to go there even more. May be some day in the future... The landscape is spectacular. I like very much the repeated motive of the cone. It looks so unexpected, so unusual.
Great selected POV to capture also some reflections of the cones in the foreground.
The sky seems a bit noisy I wonder if a noise filter could smooth it out.

Thanks for sharing I will have something to dream about :)
