Photographer's Note
salt lake in the southwest of the altiplano of Bolivia, on the Chilean border at the foot of the volcano Licancabur. Its colour is caused by sediments, containing copper minerals. It is elevated some 4,300m (wikipedia)
Stitched together 3 photos with pano tools.
Is there some special way to upload panoramas in trekearth? Because they really loose much of the appeal constricted to 800px, plus the minimum 250 which forces you to amke borders

Hey, Renan. Fabulous take of Laguna Verde. Just terrific. I was there in the years before digital. With a few people, we drove from Uyuni and then we hiked from Bolivia to San Pedro de Atacma in Chile. (I think I have a photo of Licancabur in my gallery somewhere, and I want to scan some more to post.) Anyway, on one of the discussion boards someone spoke of a way to upload panorama shots. The limitations do make it a problem, but there is a way -- I read about it recently -- so you might want to go search through the forums. Again, great image. Thanks for sharing. -Hugh

Bravo!...

Yes there is a special way to upload a panoramic image to TE. If the width of the panorama is 800px, then the height should be not bigger than 320 px, as the width should be 2.5 or more times the heigth.
Propotions for panoramic image should be width : heigth -> 2.5 or bigger : 1
or 1 : 2.5 or bigger, but vertical panorama's I haven't seen to often here..
So the panorama should be between the minimum of 250px and 320 px in heigth.
Then you goto My account -> manage
For these panoramic shots there should be an option under 'options' called Large Post. (between Edit, Re-Post and Delete)
Then you can post a bigger photo, which can be 400kb in size. And max 4000 pix width.
On your photo : the stitched result is nice. Good overview, nice colours and good sharpness.
The border works fine.

Hi Renan,
Congratulations on this beautiful shot!
You can add the panorama later if the ratio of your image is right.
Impressive result of the stitching - I like the reflection a lot, you were lucky to get it in this area that normally has strong winds.

I really agree with you, there should be a special way to upload our panoramas, to avoid cropping excessively!
Anyway, your result is a sucess.
