Photographer's Note

The 8th of December was a very crucial date in my life.
I was born by the sea in the Mediterranean and suddenly for several different reasons I found myself at the top of Huayna Potosi, with no prior climbing experience at 6088 m a.s.l.!
I was fit and had spent 3 weeks in Cusco at 3400 mt before that date but had no whatsoever climbing experience. Just a strong driven mentality and a firm respect for the Nature.
Florence, (the french girl who appears in 3 of our photos at the top, taken by accident by his guide with our wide angle)is now descending some 200 m. before us.
We are at 5800 m. and it is 7-30 am. We are overexcited by having reached the summit and enjoyed the magnificent view of the Cordillera Real and Titicaca Lake.
It is not easy to describe how I felt at that stage.
I want only say that we had so big respect for the Nature and this photo as well shows how little we are comparing to the Beauty which is hosting us in this world.
I have carried 3 lenses and my camera all the way up and then down for in total 16hrs in 2 days. I am glad I did it.

I would be curios to know what feeling does it provoke in you?
