End of the dance, a photo from Buenos Aires, South

Photographer's Note

Taken in one of the best tango shows of Buenos Aires.

It was was nearly impossible taking photos because of low lightening, moving objects, big distance to the subject (at least 50 m.) etc.

However, I decided to force limits of D200 and f1.4 lens and of course .... myself :)

This scene was relatively easy. Because at the end of the dance, dancers stopped and kept the pose. I hope to share some other shots taken on 'dancing dancers'

Post processing: Noise reduction software used because of ISO 800 grain effects and sharpened in PS.

Hello Cem,
Great dance shot under some tough mixed lighting. I have found yellow stage lights to be the toughest lighting of all for digital cameras to capture and for us to process. You did an excellent job with this photo. I have a minor critique to make. I would recommend that you soften the lady's face a little. It is slightly oversharpened. Otherwise, a superb dance photograph!

a beautiful shot. amazing how well you have handled the difficult light. the drama and grace of the dance is definitely there. i guess, i would have gone for a tad more space on the left side of the picture, but that's my personal preference :)

Merhaba Cem Bey, I like this photo with a such expressive face of the woman, very intense ; I am a colour person but I wonder how this would have looked like in B&W...

(PS : to reply to your question : I'm progressing in Turkish and can express myself but it's still a bit like a baby talk ; however, when I met Ali Basarir in Istanbul, the whole conversation was in Turkish as he does not know any English : I feel much less complexes in that case ; with people who speak better English than I do in Turkish, I feel a bit stupid !:)))

Cem, su fotografa verilen puani gorunce trekearth'in ne bos bir yer oldugunu daha iyi anladim. Fotografin muhtesem, o isikta bu fotografi cekmenin ne demek oldugunu anlayabilmek icin biraz fotograftanda anlamak gerekir. Charlie Parker'in hayatini anlatan "Bird" isimli filmde bir sahne vardi. Charlie Parker uzunca bir sure uyusturucu tedavisi gorup piyasalardan koptuktan sonra duzelir ve tekrar doner. O sirada muzik yapilan yerlerden birine girerler sahnede caf cafli bir grup bir seyler calmakta ve pistteki ve klupteki gencler cilginca alkislamakta ve desteklemektedir. Bir an bos gozlerle bakar ve ne oldugunu anlamaya calisir. Yanindaki arkadasina doner ve hayretle "Ama bunu herkes calabilir" der. Bende buradaki fotograflarin coguna baktigimda ayni hisse kapiliyorum "Ama bunlari herkes cekebilir".
Tebrikler arkadas, gercekten cok basarili, cekilmesi cok zor bir fotograf.

hyasar rin hatirlatmasiyla gördüm fotoğrafi hakikaten esasli foto ışık mışık kompozisyon 10 numara... Hakkini vermek lazim, eminim herkesin gözünden kaçmiş...

Les conditions de lumière étaient dures mais tu as réalisé une très belle photo au 1/400. J'aime ce final de tango qui donne une attitude sculpturale aux danseurs.
