Photographer's Note

Plaza Sicilia is located in Palermo District between Libertador Avenue and Presidente Figueroa Alcorta Avenue. The place is very clean and pretty.

There are the many trees a a pretty lake that form a beautiful water mirror. This is the Lake Victoria Ocampo a homage to the Argentine writer and intellectual Victoria Ocampo (1890-1979).

Inside the park is located the General Direction of Green Lands, the Department of Monuments and Artworks, and The Ministry of Enviroment and Public Spaces.

A great part of the Plaza was destinated to the Japanese Gardens (future photos) that include the Nipo-argentin Culture Foundation.

Till inside the park you can see a old carrousel, a Monument in homage to Domingo Faustino Sarmient made by famous August Rodin, a monument in homage to Luigi Pirandello made by the sicilian scultor Giuseppe “Pino” Cirami and finally you can see the Youth House, dating from 1874 when the Plaza Sicilia was created.
