Photographer's Note
Plazza de Mulas (4350m): base camp for the Aconcagua ascent (6962m).
Those guy where moving a sofa brought here by helicopter in the morning. I framed them verticaly to have the Aconcagua behind them.
During December, the people organising expeditions set up their camp before the "massive" arrival of client in January. Most gear is brought by mules. The biggest pieces of equipements are brought with helicopter.

Hi Jean,
Really this is a humorous capture but also a fine quality picture and moment so well taken by you. Your angle approach and perspective is very well done. The people is smiling and carrying the SOFA, at background a vast scenery of beautiful sky, mountain landscape and blue sky. Very well seen, done and composed. Have a great and better 2006 year to you and family. I like your humour and great quality picture of the moment and with this fine enquadrement for composition.
The best to you and share your work at TE.
Have a nice weekend.

A lovely mountain picture with quite a different twist. The standing format well used with the guys in a natural low position.
On mountain hikes the kind of sofa tha folds out a bed is the best choice. Even if it is a bit heavier than a standard sofa it saves you the trouble of carrying a bed too.

Salut Jean-Marc,

Funny picture and great background. I like the pose of the other guy. He seems to tell us the the job was piece of cake. Everything for tourists!
