Photographer's Note
This is the classic view of Mt Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain, seen from Mt Cook Village. It was taken on a rare morning with clear blue sky. Cook has a cap of lenticular cloud which disappeared a few minutes after I took the photo. The rounded mountain peering out from the left side of Cook is Mt Hicks.

Hello Vince,
Wonderful how the white clouds hang over the top of Mt Cook.
As if they want to protect it.
Good composition with the long diagonal of the dark slope.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Vincent,
Wonderful mountain view with several very steep slopes in the frame. And strong contrast between snowy peak in sunshine and the closer slope in shadow. Green trees and bushes give more approachable feeling to the foreground.

Hello Vincent,
This is spectacular scenery, captured with excellent clarity, to enhance the photograph.
I really like how well you have composed the scene, the shaded rocky f/g slope following a diagonal and creating a strong contrast with the sunlit, b/g slopes.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hi Vince
A splendid photo of Mount Cook on a gloriously sunny part of the day. The cloud over the top is very interesting. I'm now waiting to see how far up the valley you walked.
cheers

Hi Vincent,
The shaded peak at right acts as a frame and adds tonal contrast and graphism. Good sharpness and well framed and composed. Tfs!

Hi Vincent,
it is a spectacular sight indeed. Now with travel restrictions it is limited only to local people and those who visit TrekEarth :)
Great use of the diagonal. More like a double diagonal. The peak is nicely covered with a smooth hat of clouds.
Excellent quality.
