Photographer's Note

My sympathies go out to everyone in and around Christchurch after today's devastating earthquake. From the look of things the damage has been much greater than in last year's quake and certainly many people have died.

Tonight's photo is from Queenstown, usually the centre of adrenalin hit activities. This photo is of a peaceful scene on a fine sunny afternoon looking out over the lake towards Walter Peak. Queenstown's famous ferry was out on a cruise and the whole wharf was occupied by seagulls (also enjoying the peace and views?)
