Photographer's Note

The set of three pictures of Champagne Pool in Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland.
Champagne Pool appears to have a mouth of fire. Its circumference is lined by a thick rust-colored rim, which serves as a perfect contrast for the steaming turquoise water it encircles. This terrestrial hot spring was given the name Champagne Pool because of its dramatic efflux of carbon dioxide, like a glass of bubbling champagne.
But in contrary to champagne it is very hot, not to drink :).

In the critiques of my yesterday picture, some of you wrote that the view was similar to Iceland. I haven't been there so I can't tell. Rotorua thermal area reminded me of Yellowstone NP and Beppu in Japan. The hot springs are fascinating places. I always see it with the great pleasure and interest. In Rotorua, they are surrounded by fantastic rain forests.
