Photographer's Note

Novel ideas, creative use of city's landmarks, provocative and though provoking installations- these are all part of the White Night festival which in its second year drew more than half a million people to the centre of Melbourne city.
The last thing we photographed around midnight was the wall of the National Gallery of Victoria which featured projections (no idea how they did it)of tattooed bodies of Melbournians and in my workshop you can see closeups of some tattoos put together to make a giant canvas. The festival ran from 7p.m. to 7a.m. After midnight the city was left to the young of foot. After four hours of walking, I had enough.

No tripod by the way. Just a steady hand and a halt to breathing.
