Pitaya flower

This is the flower of the Pitaya cacti (Hylocereus undatus) which only flower overnight, usually wilting by the morning. They rely on nocturnal creatures such as bats or moths for fertilization by other pitaya. Self fertilization will not produce fruit.

The photo was taken in my back yard a few days ago under a flash light.
