Watching the Sunset, a photo from Western Australia, West

Photographer's Note

Perth in Western Australia is treated daily to the spectacle of the sun setting over its horizon. And the best view in the house is by the water gazing out to the West.

The moment the Sun turned the clouds and sky into fiery shades of red and gold I saw the faces of the people sitting on the rocks near me illuminated by its brilliance, like a torch shone upon their faces.

Hi Jackie, Ncie idea, It may have been improved if they were positioned to the left of the shot, with them looking into the shot and more of the sky. cheers, Steve

Hi Jackie,

I agree with SteveH, Sky and warm colours are interesting but composition may have been improved. I would have placed the 2 persons on the left side of the picture to get more space where they are looking toward (my eye doesn't naturally explore what's in their back). Then you could have given more importance to the sea by shooting from a higher POV to get the horizon line fully visible.

Relaxing moment though ;-)
