Photographer's Note
Much of the Western Australian coast north of Geraldton is very arid with patches of farming along rivers. The property in this photo is on a peninsula sticking out into the Indian Ocean and as you can see is mostly red sand. It is now Francois Peron National park with quite a bit of abandoned farm machinery scattered about.
There is also an old woolshed and in the workshop of photo from there.

Hi Ian
Looks altogether too hot and dry for successful farming. A bit too far north of the roaring Forties and too far south to get regular cyclonic rain influences. Excellent sharpness and warm cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Bonjour, cher Ian,

Hello Ian,
Sixty year ago my father had the same engine, but better maintain.
Create depth and perspective.
Perfect quality and nice colours.
Very well photograph job.
Nice done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Bonjour Ian,

Hi Ian
Failed Farming indeed :)
as many others have mentioned in their notes...what could they have been farming in such dry arid conditions? I doubt the conditions have changed as it hasn't been long enough. but mother nature has a way of winning the battle, there are certainly trees and bushes in the bg thriving in this this heat. It can be a car, bus, house, boat...i don't care, abandoned farm machinery are great too :)
cheers
Craig
