Photographer's Note

These hulking remnants of a bygone era, are located near the historic town of Port Adelaide.

Located ideally on the Port River, Port Adelaide used to be the main hub of transporting goods in and out of both Adelaide and the whole of South Australia. Unfortunately changing demographics have turned many areas of this once thriving area into a ghost town.

For example these two huge cranes lie abandoned in one of the many neglected docks in and around Port Adelaide. These "industrial ruins" are magnificent yet unattractive at the same time, however offer a photographer many unique opportunities not seen elsewhere.
