Photographer's Note

Hmmm, couldn't find the right category for this photo.. I think it's more like a "fun things to do" type of photo.

Anyway, went caving in Naracoorte, South Australia, which is also famed for its terra rosa Coonawarra region. Apparently one of the most expensive pieces of wine real estate on the planet. Unlike most of the US and France, wineries here (and most other places in Oz) are very down to earth, welcoming and uncommercial places, which means you don't get charged anything to sip as much wine as you want. Also, South Australia is the only place I know of where you can travel for less than one hour in ANY direction from its capital, Adelaide, and hit a winery. Yes, there is even a winery by the sea.. last I heard it was still thriving. So if you like your wine, head down south.

Adelaide also has some fantastic Australian food at half the Sydney/ Melbourne prices (or Vietnamese, Thai, Singaporean, etc..).

Anyway, enough about stuff above ground.

This is the start of a 3 hour caving trip, as you can see from the smile on a fellow participant's face.. It's heaps fun (as they say) and definitely worth doing. I'm highlighting it for the main reason that many people don't know about it, and if you are fairly adventurous you should make the effort to plan ahead (you need to book with the park).

The camera took a bit of a beating but is still working well, so no worries there.

PP: levels, very slight crop.
