Photographer's Note
In the southern hemisphere the shortest day of the year is June 21. Still, this group of girls found this winter evening warm enough to wade in the ocean as the sun was setting.
If I lighten the contrast, the details of the beach and the girls clothing become clearer. However, I like the silhouettes, suggesting a relaxed, carefree moment of childhood.
