this is a great perspective of the famous monolith detay ... however i'd like to point out that the correct name is Uluru, which is the indigenous name for Ayers Rock.
beautiful clear sky and it contrasts well against the red rocks. it looks almost like you've cleaned the sky in photoshop! ;)
in future, please write a more detailed photographer's note. they're important to the purpose of Trek Earth: "learning about the world through photography"
great shooting!

Great use of the fisheye - making a VERY dramatic composition. fab colour saturation too.

Hi Michel,
Great original shot of Ayers Rock. The well chosen POV creates an amazing impression of "tinyness". Vivid colours are wonderful and I particularly like the contrast between red cliffs and blue sky. I suppose Uluru is a must for a geologist combined with photographer!
Well done!
Quentin.

Very interesting shot. Good idea to use the fisheye. Perfectly composed. The tree at the upper left corner is a big plus.

Hi Michel, the POV is superb here, the frame with the tree nicely matches the "V" in the rock, the colors are gorgeous, thanks for sharing! Daniel
