Photographer's Note

I have seen many photos of Uluru (Ayers Rock) but this is as close as I have ever been to it. I think we were about 30,000ft above it, flying in a Qantas Longreach on a morning flight from Melbourne to Singapore. The photo was a little dull, taken through the plane window, so I enhanced it ever so slightly in photoshop but basicly this is how it was. I don't think I have ever seen "the rock" from this perspective (or altitude) and may never again. So, while it may not be a technically perfect photo, I think it is worth showing for its unusual view. The irregular shape is quite striking. Also, you can just make out the near by settlement.
