Photographer's Note

29 FEBRUARY 2004, ST. KILDA PIER, ST. KILDA

These three neatly dressed students reminded me of Three Kings parading proudly after viewing the sunset. Their status is only exaggerated by the fisherman lying on the concrete, dressed in his comfortable slacks and seemingly indifferent to both their presence and my camera.

I got talking to the Three Kings, ventured far from their home (Bangladesh. They came here to study Commerce and Law.) We got talking about their country's history and I received a reccomendation to read some good Russian classic literature.

Just another Sunday evening in Melbourne...

Technical:
Camera: My hyperfocal point on the lens was off and the fisherman falls out of the depth of field. (needed F8 or F11)

Photoshop: Desaturated, Levels and Curves Adjusted, USM Sharpening.
