Photographer's Note
This picture I took on my stop in Victoria (03). The twelve Apostles are located on Great Ocean Road near Loch Ard Gorge.
The twelve apostles were formed by the erosion of the original coastline. As the sea constantly eroded away the limestone, gradually these individual rocks were left. The current mainland part however is still being eroded away (approx. 2cm a year) so in the future there are expected to be more rocks or 'apostles'. Some day there might even be a 13th apostle, although that is probably a long way of :)
The weather when I took this picture was particularly bad. I dared not go to close to the edge as the wind was violent. It seems however that most pictures taken of the twelve apostles have bad weather, so consider yourself lucky if you catch a clear sky :)

Daniel.

Very dramatic shot Philip. Great foreground detail which contrasts nicely with the sea and sky. The sea looks so angry. This really is superb what a great first pic. Welcome to TE.

Je suis impressionné par cette photo. La couleur émeraude de la mer qui frole le rivage escarpé aux couleurs terre forme une belle harmonie contrastée.
Félicitations !

Great contrasty shot of this wonderful natural phenomenon. The crests of the waves bring the picture to life and the dark clouds add a feeling of drama.

Welcome to TE, Philip!
Very colourful image with that dramatic cloudy sky that helps accentuate the apostoles and their separation from cliffs.
Very good debut photo! All the best,
Robi

hello Philip and welcome to TE. You will learn a lot here and the most interesting part is to exchange comments and critics with other members of the community. Take the time to see and to drop comments to the other fellow colleagues. That is the basic rules of TE and Adam'spriit, the creator of the site.
Your first shot is really interesting and give an excellent idea of this coast. I did not know that part of the world and this is certainly one of my future trip.
Thank you for sharing with us.
Take care.

Hi Philipe
WEll, this is excellent photo. The place is impressive, and in weather like this little bit scary.
Good work

Fantastic Shot. The Colours and sharpness of the photo are great. The storm rolling in adds a dramatic feel to the photo aswaell. The Apostles are always a great subject.
Good job!

Bonsoir Philip,
Très très beau paysage, j'aime beaucoup le découpage de la côte ainsi le ciel sombre qui fournit un contraste sympathique.
Amicalement
