Now, how did you get in here??? Very nice framing, excellent excellent tonality. Did you use a tripod and did you hand hold on the iron-works? [I think I might have seen this place from the outside, but at that time it was not open]

Rowan, I love how you have expressed the mood of the jail through the almost graphic representation. Very strong composition too. Family legend has it that Ned was a relative of ours - some of his ancestors were sent from Kent to Australia for stealing sheep on Romney Marsh. . . Stephen

Build on the plans of the old English star model with a center from where you could see three wings at once on three levels has proven to be the most safe prisons to work in for guardians while the intens contact with guests where still possible without losing security. In other models the guiding contact will be less. I have seen supermodern models in the Netherlands built on this same idea, incredible organic build out with enormous glass centers but the close contact always get a bit lost. Perfect turn to B&W to see the structure of the building and to give a bit morbide feel what it is in reality not so but it makes it here very dramatic, Rowan.

Hi Rowan
Sacrée ambiance dans cette photo ! T'as vraiment tiré tout le potentiel de ce lui pour en faire ressortir un côté glauque qui colle bien à cette prison.
Le n/b très contasté, le côté sombre...mmmmhhhhh j'adore !

Hi Rowan,
I was going through your gallery today and was pleased to see an abundance of quality B&W images. This is as good as any to show us all three levels. The darkness is nicely captured and emphasised.
