Hello Brendan,
it's a very intriguing photo somehow disturbing for the lack of visible faces in the middle of this crowd.
Something like if someone is lost or feels alone in the middle of such a big crowd.
The range of tones of this photo is really great and I'm really happy you went for B&W.
Just one question, what do you think of the OMD EM5?
Cheers,
Paulo

Hi Brendan
The cold and rainy atmosphere is perceivable with the light grey sky, reflections on the pavement, umbrella and the persons gestures. A drop of water has fallen on your objective, creating a grey circle you should have removed before posting.
I would have cut the unintersting area above the umbrella

hi brendan,
very interesting angle and even more interesting mood here - I can feel the drizzle and I am walking with the crowd. it doesn't happen very often that pictures drag us into them - we're often spectators and not actors.
I like the dark tones, the rest is up to us to imagine - we don't always have to see everything in a photo :)

Hi Brendan,
Aussie rules fans have to be up there with European football fans when it comes to dedication watching their teams live. I live a block form the Gabba, and have never been to an Aussie rules game, so I promised myself to check one of the Lions games soon.
The umbrella and the cityscape really frame this well, the hard contrasts give such an atmosphere..
Cheers
Justin
