Photographer's Note
A small river and a peaceful beach along the Great Ocean Road, somewhere between Lorne and Apollo Bay.
Shot through a tour bus window. Of course it would always better to stop, choose PoV carefully and take your time to capture pictures. Sometimes it just isn't possible.
A few tips for shooting from a moving vehicle:
Use wide angle as it's less prone to blurring. It also leaves room for cropping as careful framing is hardly possible on the fly.
Use wide aperture and short exposure time. This is also to avoid shaking. Deep depth of field is not needed as foreground details are blurry anyway. And wide aperture makes dirt and dust on the window less obvious.

Hi Kari,
Nice capture despite tough conditions. I never thought about the wide aperture to avoid the dirt and dust on a window in the tour bus, but it makes sense. I usually try to get one of those double-decker buses with an open top. Only almost lost my head on a few occasions!
Have a fine Friday and a better weekend!

Hello Kari.
It really seems like a Sardinian landscape!
Great shot altough without vertical or fg's items.
Well done.
Best regards.
Bobo.

I do like these small rivers flowing into the beach... atually I'm amazed at seeing this picture because the beach and river look like almost the same as a river and beach we have here and that I have photographed (but not yet posted in TE). Nature seems to repat itself... I like the warm light and colours, Very mediterranean.
Best greetings,

Hi Kari
Great shot to be taken while on the move. I like that you have included the meandering river running to the ocean, great composition. Beautiful colours and to place the family in the shot creates a lovely atmosphere also.
Cheers

Excellent depth for this wide beach, as shown by the very small pepole visible here and there.
All the best,
Emmanuel
